  • Snorkel the soft coral with quality equipment, instructions, and snorkel rest stations provided
  • Relax on the reef with a complimentary massage
  • Join a glass-bottom boat tour or watch the underwater life on the reef in the underwater observatory
  • Choose to stay dry, but still feel a part of the action

Your tour departs from the Cairn's Marina at 10:00AM. Tea and coffee will be available whilst you are boarding, and filtered water is available throughout the day. Once aboard, pick a seat and sit back and relax in the air-conditioned comfort of your recently refurbished modern catamaran. With plenty of space inside and out, enjoy the picturesque views of Cairns City as you head north to Arlington Reef. Arlington Reef is the closest location of the Outer Great Barrier Reef to Cairns, and your journey there is direct, taking less than 1.5 hours. On the way to the Arlington Reef Marine Base, there will be marine presentations given by some on-board marine experts. You can learn about this virtually-untouched reef and its unique marine life and ecosystems. There is a range of activities available on your arrival to the marine base at 11:30AM, with options for both swimmers and non-swimmer alike to enjoy the wonders of the reef. If you are an avid swimmer, or even ready to try snorkeling for the first time, you will be provided with snorkeling equipment, including a mask, fins, and a snorkel, as well as buoyancy vests and lycra suits. Lifeguards are posted on the pontoon to ensure the safety of all guests, and snorkel rest stations are moored in regular locations to allow you to rest and watch the daily activities of the reef residents below the surface. If you prefer to stay dry, there are regular glass-bottom boat departures, allowing you unlimited opportunities to join a guided tour with expert commentary traversing scenic routes of the reef. The daily fish-feeding presentation is a great way to see the unique fish species and marine life in action, and the marine life touch tank presentation with a marine biologist is a great way to compliment your newfound knowledge. The underwater observatory is an ideal spot to relax and watch the underwater world, which makes another great alternative for guests wanting to stay dry but still enjoy the beauty of the reef. Guests wishing to add more to their day can participate in optional extras, such as a guided snorkel safari (great for all ages and abilities), sea walker helmet diving (you don’t even get your face wet), and introductory or certified diving.
