The perfect hideaway for honeymooners, birdwatchers, nature-lovers or for a relaxing interlude during a busy holiday schedule.
Eight kilometres beyond Daintree Village, at the end of a scenic valley trail lies this peaceful haven, alive with tropical birds and butterflies and filled with tropical gardens, rainforest, tropical fruit trees and easy walking tracks.
Each bungalow has a private verandah overlooking the wetlands-dam, tropical gardens and rainforest and has either a Queen-size or KingTwin Bed plus convertible sofa for one extra adult - kindly note there are no facilities for children under 12.
There is an ensuite with large shower, microwave, electric cooktop, fridge and all cooking utensils and the bungalows are air-conditioned, have a ceiling fan and are fully insect-screened.
No passing traffic, TVs or radios - and your mobile phone will only work in Daintree Village, 8km away. The only sound you will hear will be bird calls!A complimentary daily breakfast basket is supplied and includes a platter of tropical fruits, some home-grown in season, fruit juice, cereals, home-made jams and yoghurt, locally-grown freshly-ground coffee and Daintree tea.
Bring your own supplies and dine at home in your cabin or on the barbeque in the historic old open shed - perhaps have a dip in the jacuzzi while you cook your dinner! Self-cook meals and drinks are also available. There are several restaurants in and around Daintree Village.
Far from the madding crowd yet convenient for all the beautiful region's activities - 10 minutes to Daintree Village, 20 minutes to beautiful Wonga Beach - Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, Port Douglas and the Cairns Highlands are all within a 1-2 hour drive.
Your resident hosts, Peter and Daphne, are always available to help with local information, and bookings if necessary, but the emphasis is upon your comfort and privacy.
