Embark on a biking tour through the rainforest of the Wet Tropics World Heritage area. Ride through the coastal lowlands and cane fields into Port Douglas along the majestic Four Mile Beach.

Description

We pick you up at your accomodation or if you are close to either of our stores, wander on in where your tour guide will be waiting, We then drive to our start point at Wangetti where we climb the ridge line of the Macallister Ranges, with spectacular views out to the Coral Sea, you will already feel the serenity of this very special area. This immersive rainforest experience within the Wet Tropics World Heritage area or Kuranda, Mowbray and Port Douglas is truely special, the journey will take you through one of the most breathtaking ecosystems on earth which supports the highest level of bio-diversity of any region of Australia. Pedal through pristine rainforest, crossing through freshwater creeks, keeping an eye out for native wildlife, this is the home of the Cassowary, stop and take in the breathtaking views, breathe in the beautiful rainforest smells and sights. Starting your decent into Port Douglas from the rainforest, you will be travelling on the Bump Track, a historical trail the local indigenous peoples used to travel between the tablelands and the beaches, later being used by colonies to trade from the port to the tablelands. The trail is a blue decent and can be ridden as hard or as steady as you like. Coastal lowlands will have us pop out at the cane fields of Port Douglas region, where we weave our way down to Four Mile Beach, where your experienced guide will wrap up this unforgettable interactive experience with an epic beach ride into the heart of tropical Port Douglas. Join us for a bite to eat at one of our favourite beach side spots, reminisce over a nice cool drink, before being picked up by our super comfy air conditioned ride back to Palm Cove, Cairns City or your accomodation in-between.
