BAR36

BAR36 is a live lounge and cocktail bar located within the casino complex in Cairns. Its setting combines modern industrial details with art deco styling, creating a polished barroom atmosphere suited to relaxed drinks, evening entertainment and later nights.

The venue centres on live music, with a programme featuring local and national entertainers. On regular evenings, the lounge provides a place to settle in with a cocktail and listen to music. At busier times, BAR36 shifts towards a fuller entertainment format with enhanced sound and visual production, giving the space a more energetic feel without losing its lounge character.

Drinks are a key part of the experience, with a mix of cocktails and other bar service prepared by a team focused on creative drink-making. Food is available through Asian-influenced offerings from Soy Kitchen, giving the venue a dining option alongside its drinks and entertainment. The food suits guests looking for something to share or add to an evening at the bar, rather than a formal restaurant setting.

BAR36 works for a range of occasions, from casual after-work drinks and pre-dinner visits to nights built around live entertainment. Its lounge format also suits small celebrations and group gatherings. For private events, the space can be arranged for intimate functions of up to 80 people, with food and beverage packages available through the venue’s event team.

Bar service runs from late afternoon into the evening on Sunday to Thursday, while Friday and Saturday continue later. The monthly gig guide is useful for checking which performers are scheduled before planning a visit. As the venue sits within a casino complex, guests planning a group occasion or a private function can contact BAR36 directly to confirm arrangements and requirements.
