Description
This unique 5-hour canyoning adventure takes place in Behana Gorge, located inside a World Heritage rainforest just 30 minutes from Cairns CBD. Begin with a full safety briefing and gear-up at base before following your expert guide deep into the gorge.
The course includes cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear pools, and technical challenges. Every jump, slide, and abseil is optional as your guide tailors the experience to the group’s ability. Whether travelling with children or seeking an adrenaline challenge, the tour adapts to your comfort level.
Groups are limited to 10 guests per guide to ensure personalised attention. Behana Gorge lies within Wooroonooran National Park and is accessible only by this tour.
Wetsuits, thermal tops, helmets, harnesses, and life vests are all provided. Routes vary daily based on water levels for safety and enjoyment. Return shuttle from Cairns CBD is included.

Important Information
- Meeting point: Bus Bay #7, Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence St, Cairns Marlin Marina, Cairns CBD
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure
- Wear closed-toe shoes (runners) with socks, swimwear, and bring a change of dry clothes
- All jumps, slides, and abseils are optional; guides set the group’s pace
- Routes chosen daily based on water levels for safety
- Maximum 10 guests per guide; for groups of 11–20, two guides run the tour
- Minimum age 8 years; children must be accompanied by an adult
- Not recommended for travellers with back problems, pregnancy, or serious heart conditions
