Description
Start your day with a scenic ride aboard the Kuranda Scenic Railway, winding through mountains and rainforest to the village of Kuranda. Upon arrival, visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary featuring 1,500 tropical butterflies, including the Cairns Birdwing.
Next, take a shuttle to the Rainforestation Nature Park for a barbecue buffet lunch. After lunch, board an Army Duck amphibious vehicle to explore the rainforest by land and water, spotting wildlife and learning about native plants. At the Tropical Treats fruit orchard, sample exotic fruits and locally made ice cream.
Experience Aboriginal culture at the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience with traditional dances, spear-throwing demonstrations, boomerang throwing, and didgeridoo lessons. Then, visit the Koala and Wildlife Park to see koalas, dingoes, Cassowaries, Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroos, wombats, crocodiles, lizards, and birds. You can hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies.
The tour concludes with a Skyrail Rainforest Cableway ride over the rainforest canopy back to Cairns, followed by hotel transfer.
