Description
Experience an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. This eco-tour offers two different snorkel destinations featuring diverse marine life and coral species.
The tour begins at Cape Tribulation beach, where guests board a vessel heading to the Great Barrier Reef. The Ocean Safari vessel accommodates a maximum of 25 passengers, providing an intimate experience. After a 25-minute ride, guests snorkel at two locations on Mackay Reef.
During the tour, the rainforest is often visible along the mainland while guests snorkel among sea turtles, colourful corals, tropical fish, eagle rays, giant clams, and starfish.
The boat is a rigid inflatable craft modeled on a rescue vessel design, powered by 700hp engines. An experienced skipper and eco-host lead the trip, ensuring both safety and informative commentary about the Great Barrier Reef and the adjacent Daintree coastal rainforest, both world heritage sites.
