Take a 45-minute guided cruise along the Barron River near Kuranda, where local wildlife thrives in its natural habitat. Your guide will share insights on the area's history along with stories about the reptiles, birds, and animals you may encounter.

The river supports freshwater crocodiles (Crocodylus johnsoni), turtles, snakes, water dragons, fish, and over 100 tropical bird species. Cassowaries are occasionally seen on the opposite riverbank. Note that freshwater crocodile sightings cannot be guaranteed as these are wild animals.

Access the cruise jetty by walking across the Kuranda Railway Station footbridge and descending the stairs to the river, marked by red flags. Please be aware that vehicle access to the river is not permitted; the jetty is accessible only on foot.
