The delightful setting of natural bush and lush rainforest make an ideal backdrop to some of the shows put on here.

Being a division of the Cairns Regional Council division of Sports & Recreation it is a centre for engagement of the local community as well as providing for some really interesting shows & displays.

Tanks combines two main functions, that of a ‘presenter’ organisation offering a range of arts and cultural events and activities to a mixed audience, and a community cultural development organisation which aims to proactively engage local communities in cultural expression and participation.
