The new Spirit of Queensland combines modern seating and entertainment options with the romance of long distance rail travel along the state's coastline from Brisbane to Cairns and all regions in between. Contemporary, comfortable and designed for relaxation, the newest addition to the Queensland Rail Travel fleet offers new features that will redefine the modern rail travel experience. Each of the new trains will carry 172 passengers and will boast an Australian first with the revolutionary RailBed. The RailBed is a spacious and comfortable seat by day that includes a state-of-the-art personal entertainment system and 240v powerpoint. In the evening the onboard team convert the seat to a lie-flat bed with all linen provided.
